Amy Gallagher - Actor
Amy was born and bred in Inverness. As a child, when she wasn't at a dance or drama class,
she was putting on shows for all the family. At 17 she left the quiet life of
her Highland home for the bright lights of London. And now, two years later, having completed a performance
course in the Metropolis she will be heading to Norther Ireland to start a degree in drama and dance in the autumn. Amy plays Liz in the pilot,
and there is a wicked sparkle in her eyes of which the real Liz would have been proud.
Brian Howlett - Actor
Brian is from Inverness, and has done many jobs, some of which he got
paid for. He has been involved in amateur drama for more years than he
cares to remember, both in the Florians, and also previously with the
Inverness Opera Company. Work commitments have restricted his stage
appearances in recent years, and the nearest he gets to performing
these days is helping to draw the raffle prizes at the Florians
Theatre.

Iain Maclean - Writer, Executive Producer
Iain Maclean was born in Muir of Ord and brought up in Fortrose, both on the Black Isle in the north of Scotland. On leaving school
Iain began a short-service career as an officer and pilot in the RAF, and since that time has been keen to
encourage links between military personnel and civilians - 'two inter-dependent parts of the same society'. Over the last 20 years
Iain has operated as a management consultant for some of the World's largest companies, including Nissan and British Airways. An enthusiastic amateur
historian, Iain spends most of his free time researching WWII (and Ancient Egypt), which means that his four children experience unusual
holidays, and are desperate to leave home.
Nicholas Nicol - Actor
Nicholas Nicol has been involved in amateur drama for as long as he can remember.
Having decided not to take up a place in his teens
at RSAMD he has participated in a wide range of stage productions since, not solely dramatic (primarily with the Florians Drama
Club and Dingwall Players) but in musical theatre with Inverness Opera Company, playing many leading roles for over thirty years.
There have been occasional professional engagements too including playing Albemarle, a redcoat general, in the feature film
'Chasing the Deer'. Having decided not to take up a professional career he has probably had a wider experience of roles being
involved in several types of productions every year, than if he'd been doing it for a living - it is a precarious business after all.
Nicholas is married with three children and his two daughters have already taken up the stage as a professional career.
Halde Pottinger - Actor
From the north of
Scotland, Halde (he is the one on the left) spent most of his childhood
escaping the classroom, working on the family farm or hitting people on the rugby pitch! After Edinburgh University
he spent the next four years travelling and working as a ski instructor throughout Europe.
Halde is perfect for the Gillean's Children team as he has a deep interest in military history, a passion for Scotland,
and a great sense of humour (which will keep us going when the food runs out).
Aaron Sneddon - Stills Photographer
Press and motion picture photographer, having published news and movie photos in newspapers including the Sunday Post,
Inverness Press and Journal, The Herald and the Strathspey Herald. Aaron works with Nikon equipment and doesn’t enjoy
working with the Blimp but possesses one. Previous movie assignments on set include Neil Marshall’s Centurion,
Bollywood Movie 3 – Love Lies and Betrayal, and BBC’s Raven. Current projects include covering castings for major
movie Ninth Legion (Kevin Macdonald) and Gillean's Children. Aaron also covers local news as
